Event 3 – Athens, Greece

The international event presented the strikes and mass demonstrations at universities against the Military Junta in Greece in 1967-1974, focusing on the anniversary of the uprisal at “Polytehneio” and make people aware of the era and the repression civilians faced.

Participants were introduced to the historical background, forbidden music and literature of the given era.

Study visits were also included to Polytehneio University of Athens and to the Museum of Democratic Resistance against Dictatorship.

Interactive workshops were held for young participants, facilitated by Anastasia Oikonomoula.

The event took place on 14 – 17 November 2017.
