B.E.ST. APV

I had the pleasure of visiting Derry, NI with a student from Poli, namely Bıró Dávid over a weekend in October to discuss the up coming Erasmus+ Youth Exchange. We arrived Friday had a short walk and discussions with Barney and other representatives of R.E.C.H. Across … It was a log trip to Derry, so the day was cut short because we were quite tired. However, on Saturday we met the Cypriot team, then headed off with them and Barney to see all the locations around town  and go over the timetable of activities in great detail. We, in no particular order, walked the city walls, visited the offices at Holywell, discussed and visited Catholic and Protestant areas. Views the murals to be seen at Bogside and how they are related to the project. All in all, including lunch and dinner and work, lots and lots of work, we worked 12 hours in Saturday. Sunday was more laid back. A few minor points were clarified regarding the Troubles and how they tie into the project. Then it was the long trip home.

Both Dávid were extremely pleased with the hospitality show to us and the professionalism with which R.E.A.C.H. Across set up the entire APV and Youth Exchange. We are 100% our young participants will  learn a lot and enjoy the project when they are in Derry in late October.
