No hosting necessary.
From the organizers:
Most rooms will be 3 or 4 persons bedrooms. The accommodation will organised in same-sex, mixed nationalities. The bathrooms are in shared spaces but we will assign a specific showers and toilettes to specific rooms. Since bathrooms are shared, male and female participants will be housed on different floors so there will be no mixing between sexes in bathrooms.
You will need to bring your own towels and toiletries. The participants can wash their clothes free of charge half-way through the project.
Minimise your Carbon Footprint:
The objectives of the project are:
- Understanding the process of Climate Change,
- Develop skills to limit negative impact on the environment
This means you will learn about The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) recently published a damning report on the progress in combating climate change. We are nowhere near reaching our goal of limiting the global rise in temperature to 1,5 degrees celsius. At the moment, the Earth is warmer 1,1 degrees celsius prior to the industrial revolution. This report is important because it is accepted and signed by every government in the world. Young people that have created this project have wondered if there is a global agreement on the seriousness of the problem, why isn’t there a serious global drive to solve the problem. The participants in this project want to explore this and learn how they can contribute to being a part of the solution to climate change.
All participants will get the opportunity to create and run workshops. It is actually mandatory. How cool is that!!!
