Erasmus+ All the proejcts this year….

Hi Everybody,

So you want to join a project or two, right?

Of course you do!

You want to travel abroad, experience new cultures, get involved in a topic you care about, right?

Of course you do!

You want to get to know your Poli peers even better, ones that you would have otherwise never met, right?

Of course you do!

It is Erasmus time (ain’t is always?) and we are doing things slightly different this year based on the great ideas generated at the most recent Erasmus Forum in June (don’t worry, there will be more Erasmus Forums soon).

Things will be fast and furious in the near future. We will be posting application information about projects starting today. Keep your eyes and ears peeled.

Here is a list of all the projects we know about so far (see attachment). This way, you have a better idea of what to expect throughout the course of the year and how to strategically apply to projects. In short, 7 group/school exchanges and 3 youth exchanges.

Do not worry, grade 11 students will have the chance to apply for 30, long-term individual mobilities too. More on that later.

JFYI – a group exchange is when you stay with a local host family and you host a visiting student. Yes, it is the same one that hosted you! These are 5 working day + 2 travel days … Ok, Green Travel could make a bit longer.

A Youth Exchange is like a thematic camp. You and the Poli team stay at the venue, work on the project topic at the venue, eat at the venue. So, there is no hosting involved. Best part of all is the team leaders are there the whole time too. These are between 5 and 10 days + travel days.

What is Green Travel you might ask. Well, it is how we try to save the planet, yet still travel, so, trains, buses, cars, bikes, donkey, etc are all fair game, planes are out (sort of). It gives you time to really get to know your team mates, btw.
