H.O.M.E. – Human Out Migration Eramus project

25 students and 3 teachers have been working on an exciting project since 2020 September: this is H.O.M.E. Our project is about understanding our ancestry, knowing where we come from and learning more about the past 100 years of migration in Europe.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we didn’t have many opportunities to meet in person but we had our bi-weekly meetings and we worked on the tasks connected to our project. As soon as we got back to school in May, we started thinking about a way to celebrate and get together. An awesome idea came to mind: let’s cook and eat the traditional meals of our partner countries!

On June 11, on a sunny Friday afternoon at the end of the 2020/21 school year, the student’s kitchen of Poli was filled with enthusiastic and hungry people, interesting ingredients and recipes from around Europe. The menu included two starters (one from France and one from Spain), a Sicilian main dish, a side dish from from Cyprus, a salad from Hungary and a German dessert. Every dish was vegetarian We had fun cooking the different meals and of course, the best part was eating! We were thinking about the partner countries with great appreciation, this afternoon was truly special for us.
