My First Weekend

My First Weekend

sinopLast Thursday and Friday was pretty standard. Nothing interesting happened. Went school every day. Of course, everyday has the oportunity to meet new people, so I never get bored or anything like that.

On Saturday we went to Sinop with the family. Berkay’s parents went to visit some relatives so we could spend some time with friends from another school which is in Sinop. First we walked around the center and go up to a castle. The landscpape was just stunning. Blew my mind away…The endless Black-sea and the whole city were in front of us. After that, we went to have some chai (tee). I ordered a normal one, but one of girl ordered kiw-chai. It was poisongreen and really scary. It could have been from a Harry Potter moovie. I was just courius to know hot it tastes like, so I tried and it was the best licquid, have ever been in my mouth. It was amazing! I loved it so much.

In the evening we went out with some of our teachr, Orhan. He’s an english teacher and we had a fun time. We talked about the differences between the countries. It was interesting to hear how traditious their life is.

Interesting, as I read this I was sitting here drinking tea (plain black tea, not kiwi) from a mug I got the first time I was in Gerze. It has a picture of the town and the sea. In the background you can see Sinop!!!!

I would be very interested in hearing more about the conversation with the English teacher.
